Green Cleaning: Homemade All-Purpose Cleaner

Homemade All Purpose CleanerWelcome to the first post in a series on Green Cleaning.  Green cleaning means to use ingredients that are environmentally friendly and safe for human health.

When we started to move towards a healthier lifestyle, one of the first toxins I removed from our home was our cleaning products.

Have you ever scrubbed the bathtub while squinting your eyes, taking breaks to run out of the room to get away from the smell, and fanning out as much of the toxins as possible?  No?  Ok, maybe that was just me….

But really, the best part about homemade cleaners is that there is no strong chemical smell.  It took me some time to get used to the vinegar smell in the homemade cleaners but it’s grown on me.  Plus, the more essential oils you add, the less you smell the vinegar anyways!

I love this All-Purpose Cleaner because it’s quick, easy, and effective.  Melaleuca Oil is naturally  antibacterial and antimicrobial while Lemon Oil is a disinfectant.

I use this All-Purpose a lot!  It’s great for cleaning the dining table, kitchen & bathroom counter-tops, the refrigerator, spots cleaning the kitchen floor, and more.

Do you use any homemade cleaners?  Leave a comment below letting me know what you’ve tried!

I love homemade cleaners. They are always a successful project. My daughter finds it very funny to “cook” them with me. dōTERRA Lemon Essential Oil is amazing. It smells fantastic. Greetings!

[…] it doesn’t have the benefits of melaleuca oil like the All Purpose cleaner, this glass cleaner is still very versatile.  You can use it to spray down the counter tops […]
